Seersucker fabric has been around for centuries. Its name comes from the Persian phrase shir-o-shakhar, meaning “milk and sugar” for the alternating textures.

The fabric was originally worn by the poor in the U.S. until it was adopted by students at Princeton during the 1920s.

It is known for being light, durable, and incredibly breathable.
